Walk Description:

We will start off at Friden Car park and start heading south on the High Peak trail. We then cross over to the Tissington Trail near Aleck Low and return to car park via Parsley Hay

Please note that a small part of the walk is un-reccied and so there is some unknowns in what we may encounter. On the balance of possibilities, there will be paths, clart, styles, the odd animal, historic railway, vegetation and weather!

Walks Difficulty


Leisurely - walks for reasonably fit people with at least a little country walking experience. May include unsurfaced rural paths. Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing are recommended.

Moderate - walks for people with country walking experience and a good level of fitness. May include some steep paths and open country. Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing are essential.

Strenuous - walks for experienced country walkers with an above average fitness level. May include hills and rough country, and may be at a brisk pace. Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing are essential. People in doubt about their fitness should contact the organiser or leader in advance.

Please note you should wear suitable footwear and clothing for the time of year. Take waterproofs, food and water and either additional clothing for winter walks / poor weather and sun cream and extra water for summer walks. The walk leader can refuse anyone who they do not feel is able or prepared for the walk.
