Walk Description


Starting out from the car park, we'll head over to the trig point at Shining Tor for some cracking views before moving on towards the Cat & Fiddle pub. We don't actually reach the pub but instead start making our way down towards Errwood Reservoir, which we'll basically circle before returning to the car park via the climb up The Street.


Suitable footwear and clothing essential.


Walks Difficulty

Leisurely - walks for reasonably fit people with at least a little country walking experience. May include unsurfaced rural paths. Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing are recommended.

Moderate - walks for people with country walking experience and a good level of fitness. May include some steep paths and open country. Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing are essential.

Strenuous - walks for experienced country walkers with an above average fitness level. May include hills and rough country, and may be at a brisk pace. Walking boots and warm, waterproof clothing are essential. People in doubt about their fitness should contact the organiser or leader in advance.

Please note you should wear suitable footwear and clothing for the time of year. Take waterproofs, food and water and either additional clothing for winter walks / poor weather and sun cream and extra water for summer walks. The walk leader can refuse anyone who they do not feel is able or prepared for the walk.
