Walk Description

We start the walk at Highfields school on Lumsdale Road. From there we head out through the woods and fields onto Foxley Lane and then through Tansley Knoll where we take in the delights of the village.

We then head off parallel to The Cliff where we then head over to Riber Castle. Here we stop for lunch looking over the town of Matlock to take in the stunning views.

From there we head back through the woods and follow the bottom end of Lumsdale Road where we encounter the falls. We then stagger towards the top of them until we reach the feeder ponds. From there we loop back round on ourselves until we end back at the start point.

This is a lovely walk with a couple of steep but very manageable climbs.
