Walk Description

The walk starts at Calton Lees Car Park. From here we walk up to Calton Houses, through the meadow, noting the Russian cottage in the corner of the field. After passing through a small wood we head downhill to Edensor. The next part of the walk takes us past Queen Mary's Bower and on to Park Lodge. We then head uphill towards the hunting tower, pass the Emperor lake eventually taking the turning towards Beeley. Finally we cross over the bridge and carry on to the car park. Allow around 4 hours for the walk, this will include time for a lunch stop.

Terrain / Surface

Minor roads, good tracks and paths. Some grassy slopes, which can be muddy and slippery.

There will be the option of drinks and cake at the garden centre after the walk.
