Walk Description

A way marked linear walk from the town hall in Chesterfield to the rail station in Dronfield passing through Holmebrook Valley Park, Cutthorpe, Barlow and Cowley. Along the way there will be points of interest such as an historic pinfold and the Coronation Tree.


There is a good bus and rail service back from Dronfield and if we are early, or late, there is the option of tea and cakes at the Forge.

Walks Difficulty

Please note you should wear suitable footwear and clothing for the time of year. Take waterproofs, food and water and either additional clothing for winter walks / poor weather and sun cream and extra water for summer walks. The walk leader can refuse anyone who they do not feel is able or prepared for the walk.
